Last updated: January 18, 2026

1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Legally Woke website and services operated by Pheby’s Law Professional Corporation (“we”, “us”, “our”).

By accessing or using the Legally Woke platform, including submitting requests or uploading documents, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you should not use the website or services.

2. Services Provided

Legally Woke is a legal advice platform that provides:

  • written legal advice,
  • document review,
  • limited drafting assistance, and
  • Independent Legal Advice (“ILA”)
  • on a limited-scope basis. These services are delivered through fixed fees under clearly defined limited-scope retainers.

This platform is designed to provide focused legal guidance on specific issues. It does not provide full legal representation, ongoing legal services, or emergency legal assistance.

3. Lawyer–Client Relationship

Submission of information through the Legally Woke platform does not automatically create a lawyer–client relationship.

A lawyer–client relationship is established only after:

  • the request is reviewed and accepted, and
  • a written limited-scope retainer agreement is issued and agreed to.

Until a retainer is accepted, we may decline any request for any reason, including suitability, scope, conflict, or capacity.

4. Limited-Scope Retainers

Under a limited-scope retainer:

  • the services to be provided are clearly described,
  • the engagement ends once the agreed work is delivered,
  • you remain responsible for implementing the advice and for any subsequent actions.

Limited-scope services are narrower than full representation and do not include appearances, ongoing case management, or third-party communication, unless separately agreed.

5. Use of Third-Party Services

We may use third-party service providers in connection with delivering our services. For example:

  • identity verification may be conducted through secure services such as Vaultie,
  • payment processing may be handled by established payment platforms,
  • secure document storage may be provided by third-party hosts.

These providers operate independently, and your use of them may be subject to their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for the independent actions or security practices of these third parties.

6. Fees and Payment

Fees for services are charged on a fixed-fee basis as disclosed during the intake process or in the retainer.

Services will not commence until payment arrangements are confirmed.

Fees are generally non-refundable once work has begun, except as required by applicable law.

Any adjustments or additional work outside the defined limited scope will be subject to a separate agreement.

7. User Obligations

By using this website and services, you agree that:

  • all information you provide is accurate, complete, and truthful,
  • you will submit only one primary legal issue per request,
  • you understand that advice is based entirely upon the facts you provide.

We are not responsible for advice that is affected by incomplete, inaccurate, or misleading information.

8. Disclaimers

Legally Woke does not guarantee outcomes or results based on the advice provided. We do not provide tax advice or emergency legal services. You should seek full representation when required.

9. Confidentiality and Privacy

We respect your privacy and handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which explains:

  • what information we collect,
  • how we use it,
  • how it is protected,
  • how you can access or correct it.

By using this platform, you agree to Legally Woke’s Privacy Policy.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law:

  • Pheby’s Law Professional Corporation is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages.
  • Our liability for any claim arising from services is limited to the fees paid for those services.
  • Nothing in these Terms limits liability where such limitation is prohibited by law.

11. Intellectual Property

All content on the Legally Woke site, including text, designs, and materials, is owned by Pheby’s Law Professional Corporation unless otherwise stated.

You may not reproduce or distribute content without our written permission.

12. Modifications to Terms

These Terms and Conditions may be updated from time to time. Updated versions will be posted on the website, and continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the applicable laws of Canada.
